“The last wolf of Westphalia. On January 19, 1835, the last wolf in Westphalia was hunted down here by the innkeeper Joseph Hennemann, Herbern. This memorial stone was placed on the hundredth anniversary.” There is also a heavily weathered monument opposite the no-longer-operating restaurant “Zum Statten Wolf” in Herbern-Horn.
