The probably oldest Douglas DC-6 in the world is located on an elevation on the grounds of the health center in Bad Laer. The four-engine aircraft became known as the Flugzeugcafé Preußisch Oldendorf and was bought by Sanicare founder Johannes Mönter in 2003 for the symbolic amount of € 1, transported to Bad Laer and painted in the Sanicare design. Today the Sanicare aircraft is a landmark of the mail order pharmacy.

It's a bit of a shame that some parts of the plane, especially the propellers, are no longer original. Even worse, this plane was even sprayed – in at least one case, with errors.
