The peak counts 916 metre and belongs to the mountain range "Calvana" which is a part of Subappennino tuscany.
You don't have the best sight from here, but the climb coming from the north is very beautiful: meeting some cows and horses while enjoing the view.

Monte Maggiore (917 m) is the highest peak of the sub-chain of the Monti della Calvana, which from the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, in Montecuccoli, in the municipality of Vernio, branches off towards the Southwest, for about fifteen km, and forms one spectacular panoramic balcony overlooking the plain of Prato, Florence and Pistoia. The beautiful summatal grasslands are striking, where it is not difficult to meet cows and horses in the wild. Surrounded to the north by the Apennine mountains, on clear days it is possible to see the Apuan Alps, Amiata, the Casentino mountains and even the sea. In Spring Spectacular blooms of daffodils and wild orchids.
