With towering peaks on either side, Scarth Gap Pass lets you know in no uncertain terms that you are in proper mountain country.

It's an arduous, technical and occasionally unrideable ascent, but the views from the top more than make up for your efforts!

Completed this section on an e bike and its very doable but hard going.

Did it from Buttermere side.

Its a hard carry not a ride. The descent down other side is doable --if you are not already knackered
