It is no longer the original collection that gave Butterfly's Nest the name to be seen there. That is unfortunately lost. The insect and butterfly archive from the Märkisches Museum can be seen, as a permanent loan provided. But that too is very interesting.
Butterfly's nest is worth it again. Visitor numbers as in GDR times, however, the restaurant will no longer reach. There were on nice days really all excursion restaurants around the Müggelberge fully occupied. Sometimes you had to wait some time to get a seat. The restaurants can only dream of that today.
But the snack is good and you can rent the hall to my knowledge for celebrations.

Very good opportunity for a rest. Bidders now also offer food and drinks "to go" during the Corona period.

Very cheap and cozy in every season.

We had registered for the afternoon arrival and were surprised by the hospitality in the butterfly nest. After the other somewhat more expensive offers at the Müggelturm and before that at the rübezahl, there were no draft beers available, but nice and friendly people with reasonable prices at work. And the sausages were freshly warmed up and tasted good. All in all, the best stop on the long day!

All in all, the entire tour from Friedrichshagen to the Wendenschloss ferry is beautiful but not very well or not signposted at all. Not even the Müggelturm is specifically signposted. something should be done drinengd!
