The Palmengartenwehr was built from 1913 to 1917 as a combined roller rifle brigade.

The fort was built from 1913-1917. It is about 50 meters long. It got its name from the former nearby amusement park Palmengarten.

On my tours coming from Luppedamm in a southerly direction, I always come across the Palmengartenwehr. It is a fascinating building. It is always interesting. There you can pause in idyll before continuing in the direction of Clara Zetkin Park.
