The Finnish runway was developed by Finnish runners to be able to train easier on the joints. Such a train is usually created as a circuit. On a gravel, gravel, sand surface, a thick floor covering of sawdust, wood chips and tree bark is applied. Running on the wood chips is at first unusual and also exhausting, but spares joints and back.
