The Krambrücke was and is one of the most important bridges in Amberg. Not only as a pedestrian connection, but also because supply lines run under it. The current version from 1988 can be used to enable the shops to deliver. According to Dollacker, there was a bridge here as early as 1100, the first made of stone and an important traffic route even then. The Krambrücke got its name because there were once eight general stores here, four on each side - "a shopping center".
