    Lake Avio is a water basin of natural origin. In 1929 a dam was built to create a reservoir to feed the TemĂč hydroelectric plant, which is no longer active today. In the early 1980s, the Edolo hydroelectric plant was built, fed directly by the waters of Lake Avio.
