😃 Well, what can I say ... If a castle in the city is not a tip and highlight, then I don’t know 😉😉😉 Just beautiful!

The anniversary pillar is in the middle of the Schloßplatz. At the end of the square is the "New Castle" (built 1746-1807). South of it is the "Old Castle".

The Schloßplatz in Stuttgart is the largest square in the center of Stuttgart and the forecourt of the New Palace.
The square divides the approx. 1.2 km long main pedestrian zone of Stuttgart, the Königstrasse, into the lower Königstrasse in the direction of the main station and the upper Königstrasse in the direction of Rotebühlplatz.
On the southern side of the square, the (Richard-von-Weizsäcker-)Planie runs at right angles to Königstrasse. This street, which is traffic-calmed in the area of the Schloßplatz, connects the Schloßplatz past the adjoining Karlsplatz with the Charlottenplatz, where it flows into the federal highways running there. It should be noted that many of the straight street axes in the city center do not have a precise alignment with the cardinal points; this also applies to the facades of the New Palace and the sides of the square. Königstraße leads from its upper end in the south in a roughly north-northeast direction to the main station.
