The founding and construction of the original chapel is likely to go back to 1234 for the first time mentioned Reichsministerialen von Weitersdorf, who gave up the property in 1339 for economic reasons. Wall technology is attributed to construction engineering in the 13th century. Various construction work on the tower and the nave in the 14./15. Century and a major renovation by the community in 1828 have had serious changes to the original overall picture of the chapel result.
