Allner Castle is located in the Allner district of Hennef on the southern slope of the Nutscheid and above the Siegufer.

1420 First documentary mention of Allner Castle, which is a knight's seat in the form of a moated castle in the hands of the von Markelsbach (bailiff of the Bergisch office of Blankenberg). The village of Allner lies between the castle and Sieg
Around 1650, the main structure of the moated castle was converted into a castle by Bertram Scheiffart von Merode.
In 1875 the castle was rebuilt in the Gothic style. From 1953 to 1973 it was used by Caritas as a children's home.
In 1984 the palace complex and several ancillary buildings on the extensive grounds of the palace were converted into condominiums. The castle, outbuildings and the castle park are located behind high walls (no possibility to visit!).
