Mountain Biking Highlight
Many regional myths and legends surround the Alatsee. Mythical creatures should live there and avoid ghosts. Careless hikers would be dragged into the lake and lured into crevices.
As repeated large quantities of fish died and people disappeared again and again, the lake is still considered by the local population as a disreputable place. However, these deaths are most likely due to released hydrogen sulfide.
The indigenous population indicates that it is possible to get through earth columns in the area of the lake to Austria.
Due to the location of the lake in a narrow ravine, there are often strong wind currents that lead to adhesions and cripples on trees. This is interpreted by esoterists as signs of existing lines of force and fields. (Wikipedia)
