You can learn the most about the Wadden Sea on Norderney not only on a hike through the mudflats, but also in the visitor center. It was rebuilt in 2015 and takes you into the biological and geological peculiarities of the Wadden Sea. There is a lot to touch and participate in. Maybe a good idea if the North Sea weather doesn't play along.
