The Meschesee is a quarry pond in the Detmold district of Nienhagen in North Rhine-Westphalia. The lake is about 550 m long and between 160 and 270 m wide. Its circumference is about 1.5 km.

The Werre flows around the 9.0 hectare lake west and south at a distance of 50 to 100 meters. In the event of flooding, the Meschesee can be fed with werewater.

A nice place to go for a walk, to relax. The Meschesee originated from an earlier gravel pond.

Wonderful little walk with wonderful lake views 🌊. The Werre flows past in the immediate vicinity and offers beautiful spots to linger on hot days.
