Lohweiher (Forest Lake) Wemding

You come out of the forest unsuspectingly, stand in front of the stairs and have your first glimpse of the forest lake. Before continuing the route, you can make a small detour to the left. It is only 100 meters to the quarry, there are interesting geographic rock formations showing the impact of the meteorite impact. Then we follow the route again into the forest at the Waldsee.

A nice hike on the edge of the Ries

For us Wemdinger, the Lohweiher is the local recreational destination in summer - for young and old! There is a kiosk right by the lake. The forest at the Lohweiher is well suited for walks. A special place for "forest bathing" has recently been set up there. A trip here is worthwhile.
