Schloss Fürstenau, built in the 14th century, is a special example in the lavish handling of architectural styles. Decorative arch instead of drawbridge, renaissance castle mill, Baroque cavalier house and New Palace from the classical period. Since the castle is still inhabited today by the count family of Erbach-Fürstenau, the visit is only possible from the outside and from the castle courtyard.

Fürstenau Castle is located in the Steinbach district. To protect its possessions, the Electorate of Mainz built this moated castle around 1250. Today the entire still inhabited castle complex is one of the most beautiful German castles and palaces. The palace complex can be viewed daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the building is inhabited.
