These are the remains of the oldest brick synagogue in Tarnów, which was built after 1661. It was burned down by the Nazis on November 9, 1939, along with the other houses of prayer.
Only the podium (bimah) and 4 pillars made of bricks are left. In 1987 the bimah was protected with a roof.
