Otto Eisel was chairman of the Palatinate Forest Association (PWV) in Dahn. Under his leadership, the Palatinate Forest Hut "Im Schneiderfeld" in Dahn was built between 1953 and 1956, constructed by PWV members through countless hours of volunteer work.
