Klein Priebus is very often confused with the former German town of Priebus (now Przewóz in Poland), opposite Podrosche. The name Priebus means “at the ford”, derived from the Wendish “pschibus”, the ferry. Klein Priebus also found the occasion o.a. First mentioned in 1390. Until 1945 the place was an industrial village (with a paper factory located on the eastern side of the Neisse), today it offers a high residential character, especially due to its quiet and idyllic location. A walk along the Neisse with the newly built Neisse weir promises relaxation and recreation. On a rubber dinghy tour from Steinbach to Klein Priebus, you can feel the idyll of the flora and fauna reserve on the Neisse.
