The Col du Firstplan is currently closed until mid-December 2023 due to a slipped road. And in contrast to other "barricades", which you can easily pass with a racing bike, here the entire road has actually slipped away and there is a hole several meters deep.

If you want to get to Munster from the west in the valley, the access via the Col Du Firstplan is highly recommended - on the one hand you can collect altitude meters and on the other hand it is much more varied than the rather flat approach directly from Colmar.
