Adamov is a town in the Blansko district in the South Moravian Region, 12 km north of Brno, at the confluence of the Svitava and Křtinský streams in a wooded valley. The altitude of the valley floor in these places is around 230 meters, but the urban residential area is also located at altitudes above 300 meters. To the east of the town lies the protected landscape area of the Moravian Karst.
