After the Thülsfeld Dam and the Geeste Reservoir, Lake Alfsee was the third stop of the day as part of the Iron Lake Challenge Lower Saxony. My legs were already a bit heavy, the weather was changeable like autumn, but in the end it was a nice ride and I achieved my goal for the day 😊

As part of the Iron Lake Challenge Lower Saxony, the challenge was to circumnavigate the Geeste reservoir (one of the ten largest lakes in the state). With the summery temperatures, I would have loved to linger longer for a cocktail under the palm trees. Instead, it was just a quick stop for a photo

The Iron Lake Challenge Lower Saxony was on the agenda, with three stages to visit. The first stop was the Thülsfeld Reservoir in overcast but mostly dry weather. It was a varied route, partly through forest and heathland, partly close to the shore. Overall, a beautiful area 😊



Afterwards, the journey

Since I was already in Bremen, I figured I might as well visit a parkrun. The city now has two, and I chose the relatively new Parkrun Werdersee (it was only its 19th edition).
