In the course of their renaturation, the Werse has been allowed in many places to make their way across a width of up to approx. 70 m. The bike path is nestled in elegant curves led and with a slight slope / rise to the course of the river. In dryness, the unpaved road is very good to drive, while in the wet there are places that make it difficult to get ahead. Scenic unique and because there is hardly any traffic, the Werseradweg is a top recommendation in this area.

The Werse was extensively renatured on the section between Beckum and Ahlen. This section really invites you to drive slowly, enjoy and also linger. You can observe nature in peace there. If you find a place, take a small pair of binoculars with you. So that the wildlife can be observed. The section between Beckum and Ahlen is entertaining about ten kilometers long and certainly a highlight in Westphalia and Münsterland.

The section from Beckum to Ahlen is the best ever. Far away from any large buildings, it goes through the nature of the river meadows. The path is quite narrow, a maximum of two bicycles fit next to each other. There are benches for a rest at regular intervals.
