In 1737 the church was rebuilt. Like most churches in the area, its basic structure goes back to the time of German settlement, i.e. it dates from the middle of the 13th century. A church tower was built, the foundation walls of which were incorporated into the nave. As a result, the church now has a T-shaped floor plan and is entered from the south - instead of the usual west. The baroque renovation continues to shape the appearance and furnishings of the church

In 1737, according to plans by Peter Sucrow from Eberswalde, a square extension made of plastered bricks was added to the core of the field stone church, which was essentially built in the 13th century, which expanded the hall church into a north-facing building with a T-shaped floor plan.
