The park, sometimes also referred to as the palace garden, is the connecting element between "Augustusburg Palace" (see komoot.com/de-de/highlight/445086 ) on the one hand and the neighboring "Falkenburg hunting lodge" (see komoot.com/de-de/highlight/220126 ) on the other. The park can be reached in just a few minutes on foot (for example, from Brühl train station), it is free to enter and - especially when the flowers in the beds designed in the Baroque style have bloomed - is always a special feast for the eyes. The tree-lined avenue provides shade in summer.

Hiking

The castles Augustusburg and Falkenlust are in the city of Brühl in the Rhineland. Augustusburg Castle is located in the east of the city, it is connected to the Falkenlust hunting lodge by an avenue through the extensive palace gardens.

Both castles are among the most important baroque and rococo buildings in Germany. Since 1984 they have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites with the castle park.
