In the mid-19th century, the residents of Dippmannsdorf had to replace their dilapidated medieval church. Since funds were scarce, the decision was made to build a small, tower-less church in half-timbered and brick construction. With its bright red, the small church clearly stands out among the churches of the High Fläming.

The building goes back to a model design by the Berlin architect Friedrich August Stüler.

"The place has an unusual half-timbered church. Schinkel's student Friedrich August Stüler designed the Dippmannsdorf church. It was consecrated on November 4, 1860 and is now a listed building.
The glowing red half-timbered house has a small roof turret instead of a tower. The church has been completely renovated in the past 3 years."
