Cycling
The Rehberger Graben leads from the Oderteich to St. Andreasberg. It was created by the miners in the 17th century to divert water from the Oder to the mine in St. Andreasberg. Today it belongs to the world cultural heritage of the Upper Harz water shelf. In the mine, it generates electricity for the city using turbines.
The path along the moat is easy to drive and scenic. In some prominent places there are boards for explanations about the ditch, the tributaries and the weathering of wool sacks at one point. Everything very informative.
