Dunster is almost indecently pretty and exactly how you would imagine an English village to be... If only the traffic didn't meander through.
Between us Komootlers: don't come by car, there are only a few (expensive) parking spaces. Better walk here from Minehead, the path through the forest is beautiful!

Dunster is situated in the sweeping hills of the Exmoor National Park and provides the ideal base for your holiday.  With over 200 listed buildings Dunster is preserved so that generations to come can enjoy the historic qualities of this unique village.  Dunster has a wealth of historic buildings, from the National Trust’s 11th century Dunster Castle to the Old Yarn Market in the middle of the High Street, which was a focal point for the old Exmoor wool and cloth trade.

Sitting on the edge of Exmoor National Park and just a stone's throw from the coast, Dunster is a beautiful village and a perfect base for hikes in the area. There are over 200 listed buildings here, so don't forget your camera because it's exceptionally picturesque. There's a castle too, dating back to the 11th century.
