Beautiful rock formations can be found here, and the view extends on both sides. There are two paths that you can take at the end. One leads over the ridge, so you should be sure-footed and not afraid of heights - great for climbers. The other path is easy, you pass a beautiful barbecue area, and both paths meet at Schartenfels. Here you can look at the remains of the castle or stop off at the Schartenfels restaurant and enjoy the great view of Baden.

Wonderful mountain hiking trail with a great view of both sides. A head for heights and surefootedness are mandatory for an inspection

Many paths come together on the Lägernsattel. From here you can branch off towards Ehrendingen, Baden and Ennetbaden and into the Wehntal. You can also continue towards the Burghorn, from where you continue on the ridge to Hochwacht. Another option is the ridge path to Schartenfels. But caution is advised here. The path requires a head for heights and surefootedness, but is worth it.
