The Electoral Post-Miles column was built in 1724 at the behest of the Saxon-Polish king, but eroded again after the separation of Eilenburg from Saxony in 1815, and rebuilt as a reminder in 2012.

Made of sandstone, in the typical shape of an obelisk on a base, with a piece of coat of arms as well as “AR” monogram and post horn symbol. The column is a replica of the gate column from the Leipzig Gate with the inscription “L.Th.” on two sides.
