Riparbella is located in the province of Pisa, in the northern Maremma (between the provinces of Pisa and Livorno and the beginning of the Province of Grosseto. It is located about 250 m above sea level in a beautiful position on the southern slopes of the Poggio di Nocola.
Unlike other towns in the area (Castellina northward, and southward Montescudaio, Guardistallo, Casale Marittimo ...), the town has not a circular shape but is extended along the ridge route that descends from Castellina down to the road to Volterra.
Former Etruscan settlement, its historic center was born around 1000 around a medieval castle, thanks to the Counts Della Gherardesca.
Like the nearby hill towns, Riparbella offers a landscape of woods, vineyards and olive trees and a wonderful view overlooking the Tuscan Archipelago
Also it is known both for its delicious Tuscan cuisine based on ham, mushrooms, cheese, wild boars, hares, pheasants or other game, and of course wine (the place belongs to the growing area "Montescudaio") and for tourism thanks to numerous farmhouses and to the possibility of hiking, riding and biking among the hills or to the coast

Super nice place in a prime location. In addition to the steep but rewarding increase can be especially recommend the local restaurants.

A country with such a characteristic history, an animated nativity scene that can be visited from 24 December to 28 February: from 9.00 to 20.00. March, July and August: Saturday and Sunday 10.00 to 22.00.
The climb to reach the village is beautiful.
