An impressive steel structure, which can be seen from afar. Unfortunately, the transporter ferry was still broken.

The "Iron Lady" itself is an impressive monument, the accompanying suspension bridge makes it something extraordinary. But the ferry is out of service until further notice after an accident. It collided with a freighter in early 2016 and was so badly damaged that it had to be detached. A repair is not possible, so it will be rebuilt. The suspension ferry is expected to sail again in autumn 2020, until then a ship will bring pedestrians and cyclists across the canal.

The ferry was so badly damaged by a collision with a ship that it probably will not be available for a long time. Nearby you can visit the pedestrian tunnel or the canal ferry Nobiskrug.
