Coming from Sebnitz, the start is not so well chosen, as you have to climb up a relatively steep, partly dirty mountain with an acute angle across the busy main road. I drove past it twice the first time. Once you have made it through the driveway, you are above the road on a beautiful paved forest path.

Road cycling

The nicer alternative between the two places. First it goes slightly uphill from Schönbach to the railroad tracks. There you turn left into the forest and drive along the rails on a narrow paved path slightly downhill towards Sebnitz. I found this part of the forest particularly attractive!

Road cycling

Nice quiet trail parallel to the main road and railroad tracks. I wouldn't have even noticed. Is well paved throughout. A bit dirty because of the unfortunately ubiquitous tree felling work.
