The church was mentioned for the first time in a document from 1144. After several construction periods, it received an approximately 50 meter high west tower.
In 1844 it burned to the ground and was rebuilt as a hall church. The new west tower is now 63 meters high and the nave with a gable roof connects to the east.
The interior with the altars, the baptismal font and the organ is also worth seeing.

A look inside the church of St. Peter and Paul is worth it! The three-aisled hall church is the third largest in the Archdiocese of Paderborn.
