"It's going to be steep in a minute, it goes almost straight down!", Suddenly the memory is back and we are already standing on the Bilsteiner Kopf in front of an inviting bank ensemble on a narrow rock nose, behind which a narrow steep path rapidly descends steeply down the mountain to Beyenburg leads.
The extremely steep route, a combination of stair segments and mountain path, leads us very quickly into the valley of the Wupper, which we cross on the well-known, old pedestrian bridge at the Landgasthof Bilstein.

I went the other way around, from Königsfeld. So down the steps. It was pleasant.

My tour started at Königsfeld. So I was lucky enough to be able to go down the stairs. Conversely, the people looked to be a real effort. But no matter we around, this view from above is just beautiful. Definitely should be seen.

From the Bilsteiner Kopf over the stairs you have a fantastic view of Beyenburg. Good shoes are required

The Bilsteiner Kopf is also a real challenge uphill, I just wanted to say that here. The many steep places, some with stairs, are challenging.
For my part, I like to go up and down the path quite often.

A beautiful descent from Königsfeld direction Beyenburg, with wonderful views of Beyenburg and the reservoir. But caution is required, sometimes the descent is quite steep, you can fall!

Certainly a challenge for the inexperienced. Both uphill and downhill.

Steep climbing path that is only partially secured with handrails. The descent is not recommended in snow / ice as it is extremely slippery. There is a risk of falling in some places. Definitely not suitable for cyclists. However, you can enjoy wonderful views of Beyenburg in the upper area.

Yes, as an ascent, it's tough. But the subsequent view compensates for the exertion when you sit on the bench and look into the distance.
