A relic of the Cold War, now a "Lost Place": at the beginning of the 1960s, NATO stationed in Blomberg a Hawk-equipped Dutch air defense unit. One of several permanently extended positions was here above Goldbeck.
To this day, the terrain is used for military purposes: the Bückeburg army pilots practice outbound helicopter landings and it is also said that here already SEK commands have prepared for their missions.
The terrain is not accessible, holes in the fence are repeatedly secured with S-wire. However, if you bring some patience and the fencing runs, you will always find one or the other hole (entering is of course strictly prohibited). However, the buildings are all empty and gutted, left behind militaria are no longer found here.
