The medieval merchant's house at Grosser Markt 15 in Perleberg was probably built around 1400 as a two-storey stone building with a stepped gable.
The house was originally not on the market, but on the market.
In 1551 it was extended at the back and a storey was added.
In 1867 the Gothic stepped gable was demolished in favour of the existing porch.
