Bike Touring Highlight
The tower is open all the time!
It is a symbol of the Uckermark-Barnim region. It bears the "house number" 13 (nobody in the village once wanted number 13). Today it is important, because you have to know it in order to use the children's cache from the "GlambeckArea" cache series (church, ice cellar, Dovinsee, Redernswalde, Glambeck mill, Disappeared village of Mellin).
Friedrich Wilhelm Graf von Redern, general director of the Royal Theater in Berlin and composer, had it built. An octagonal half-timbered upper floor with large St. Andrew's crosses and a tent roof in the middle of the former manor can be seen above the tower shaft.
Photo exhibitions can be viewed on the tower floor in the summer months, and an exhibition on the life and work of Franz Neumann and F. W. Graf von Redern in the winter months. The monument association preserves the memory of Franz Neumann and Friedrich Wilhelm Graf von Redern. They are important personalities who are connected to the history of Glambeck.
