Every year in June, Halle hosts the Gerry Weber Open, the only ATP grass tennis tournament in Germany. Tennis pros use the tournament to prepare for Wimbledon. 2007 was the Gerry Weber Stadium, after the Heidewald Stadium in Gütersloh, the second largest stadium in the district Gütersloh, venue of the 2007 Handball World Cup Men.
 The men of the TC Blue-White Hall became German Team Champion in tennis in 1995 and 2006.
