Very well maintained and well organized Kahnhafen.
Must be crazy in winter, we were not there yet. Now in the spring it is beautiful, because the mosquitoes are still sleeping.
Tip: If you fancy a delicious fish sandwich, head to Fischers Fritz at the Kahnhafen. The "Spreewälder Fischsemmel" is a culinary delight!

The best way to explore the lower Spreewald in spring and derive from a paddle boat. So you can decide for yourself where to stay for how long.

You just have to go on a boat trip. Where is there such a thing in Germany? Despite our own kayaks, we did a boat trip. You get a lot of information about people, history, past, flora and fauna. You can easily plan a week for a holiday in the Spreewald and go cycling, hiking and canoeing there. Some of the private accommodations are already cheap to rent. It is so beautiful here and I always come back here
