Must be crazy in winter, we were not there yet. Now in the spring it is beautiful, because the mosquitoes are still sleeping.
Tip: If you fancy a delicious fish sandwich, head to Fischers Fritz at the Kahnhafen. The "Spreewälder Fischsemmel" is a culinary delight!

You just have to go on a boat trip. Where is there such a thing in Germany? Despite our own kayaks, we did a boat trip. You get a lot of information about people, history, past, flora and fauna. You can easily plan a week for a holiday in the Spreewald and go cycling, hiking and canoeing there. Some of the private accommodations are already cheap to rent.
