The stately half-timbered building of this mill is located on the Neetze between the forest areas of the Fuhrenkamp and the Buchholzheide. It is first mentioned in the document book of the Scharnebeck monastery, which reports on a trade in 1330, through which the mill belonging to the Lüne monastery fell to the Scharnebeck monastery in exchange for a farm in Eyendorf.

The watermill was first mentioned in 1330 and belonged to the monastery Lüne. The environment is beautiful even in winter. In spring, summer and autumn, it must be fantastically beautiful here. The actual mill building is empty. The adjoining residential tract is inhabited. In any case, two dogs have struck. Otherwise nobody was here.

A detailed history of the mill can be found in the following link:

Your first mention can be found in 1330 in the document book of the monastery Scharnebeck. In 1666 it became the property of the sovereignty, which put them in the 18th century under the Erbzinsrecht. Mühlenchronisten report major damage, which were repeatedly caused by the often flood-leading Neetze on the structural substance of the mill and led to high maintenance costs. Noticeable is also the frequent change of tenants, which became particularly on record in the 18th / 19th century. Thus, between 1724 and 1835, a total of nine leaseholders called.- The mill had two water wheels, which drove a Mahl-, a barley and a Ölgang. In 1898 it burned down, but was soon rebuilt. Instead of the water wheels she received a turbine in 1940, which still generates electricity for their own use and the public network. In 1959 the grinding operation in the mill was discontinued. The mill building is now used for residential purposes. The still existing historical substance of the listed watermill will be preserved by the owner. So is u.a. planned to restore the external appearance of the old mill by installing a water wheel.
