The winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Hermann Hesse, built only one house in his life - a spacious, reform-style country villa in Gaienhofen on Lake Constance. After extensive renovation, the house is now open to visitors and guided tours on various topics are offered. The historic garden is also worth a visit. The house and the garden can be visited by appointment and offer insights into the everyday life of Hermann and Mia Hesse.
