Monte Paù, which in June 1916, the wave of the Austro-Hungarian army was stopped, before spreading towards Schio and Thiene, by the Italian units that had had to withdraw there after the loss of the Cengio node.
Monte Paù was the western tip of the line of maximum resistance Paù-Magnaboschi-Kaberlaba, with a mule track overlooking the valley and with little-known field and tunnel artillery emplacements. Also called Cima del Gallo, it is a relief located on the southernmost edge of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, in the municipal area of Caltrano, which overlooks the Val d'Astico.
