The winter weather on the Rusel is often fantastic, when the sun hardly makes an appearance in the lowlands. This can be enjoyed wonderfully on a winter hike that partly follows the health and wellness path.

Starting point: Ruselabsatz, at the south-facing car park

Length of the route: 3 km - circular hike

Suitable for families

Following hiking trail no. 4, you head from the large car park at Ruselabsatz in a southeasterly direction for around 3 km around the Hausstein.

A detour to the Geßingerstein is worthwhile because of the fantastic view all the way to the main Alpine ridge.

At Christmas time, a privately erected Christmas tree provides a surprise. Winter hikers also like to leave a straw star or a little saying here.

The path continues and past the Königstein, another lookout point, this time with a view of the Lallinger Winkel.
