Summit 3 of Monte San Michele

Very suggestive observation point from which to dominate the Isonzo valley. There is also a wind rose that allows you to identify the historical locations of the furious Battles on the Soča.

This itinerary runs along the slopes of one of the symbolic places of the battles that took place on the Isonzo and on the Carso during the First World War: Mount S. Michele. The territory between the Karst of Doberdò and that of Comeno is a vast open-air museum of the Great War on the Karst where various itineraries and thematic itineraries, accompanied by rich information panels, allow you to retrace the contention of these lands by the Italian armies and Austro-Hungarians.
