The area is located on a clearing integrated into the wild boar enclosure in the middle of nature, surrounded only by wide forest and meadow areas. The kindergarten forest was opened in 1999. Based on a concept by the forestry officer from neighboring Belgium, the project was fully implemented by volunteers and numerous sponsors.
One part was set up just for the local kindergartens. There is also a shelter wagon, a hut and a fixed fireplace here. All local kindergartens can use this part of the area for excursions or children's parties.
