The cross was consecrated on Trinity Sunday 1901 by Pastor Braun. In 1965, the cross (figure of the Savior made of white marble), which is a listed monument, was knocked over by an external truck when it was pushed back and was so smashed that it had to be completely replaced. For the parish, the loss was all the greater because the second altar was always built on this cross during the Corpus Christi procession. The following year, the sculptor H. Leitherer from Bamberg made the current stone cross, which was inaugurated on November 21, 1966 by Pastor Peter.
