Linsenbühl Viewpoint (817 m)

When you stand on top of the Linsenbühl you can see the entrance to the Linsenbühl cave. An old legend says: "The Linsenbühl witches lived a long time ago in the Linsenbühl, a piece of forest outside the gates of Dettingen, and caused mischief there. The appearance of the Linsenbühl witch includes the deeply carved wooden mask. The brown headscarf, decorated with patches, covers the face. Over the black skirt, the witch wears a brown apron, which is also decorated with patches. Under the skirt, the white witch's underpants, worn with cuffs, appear. As a special feature, the Linsenbühl witch wears "Lombaschuah" that match the costume, which are pulled over the earth-colored, striped stockings. The Linsenbühl witch has been an integral part of the guild since 1961. The witch's broom that she carries is a symbol of driving out the winter.
