Dreifrankenstein Monument

The Dreifrankenstein stands at the geographical point where the three Franconian administrative districts of Upper, Middle and Lower Franconia clash. Since this boundary point has shifted in the course of the territorial reform of 1972, there are now two Dreifrankensteine.
At this point is the new Dreifrankenstein, which was set in 1979.
The old Dreifrankenstein (set 1892) is located about 7 km as the crow flies west of Kleinbirkach and east of Ebersbrunn.

Every Franke should have been here once. The three parts of Franconia, Ober-; Central and Lower Franconia together. Some information ports provide information about the history and geology of Franconia. The location is a few hundred meters from Kleinbirkach.

This is where the three administrative districts meet: Lower Franconia, Middle Franconia and Upper Franconia. A very nice area, especially at sunset ☀️!
